Weather
Weather in Southeast Alaska can be unpredictable! The temperatures range between high 40's and mid 60's in summer months, and can be colder during shoulder seasons. We recommend bringing waterproof layers!
Transportation
Yes, round trip transportation from the destination of your choice is included in your hike package! Just let us know where and when you'd like to be picked up and dropped off and we'll do our best to make it happen.

Packing
We recommend bringing a day pack, waterproof layers, and sturdy shoes. We provide water, snacks, trekking poles, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Bears
Sitka sits on Baranof Island, which is home to one of the largest brown bear densities in the world! We have ~1 bear per square mile. We do our best to avoid bear encounters by staying as a group, making noise, and carrying bear spray. Your guides take every measure to keep you safe!

Flexibility
We pride ourselves on being flexible to fit your hiking desires and needs. Half-day hikes are between 2-4 hours and full-day hikes are between 5-7 hours; however, if you'd like something shorter or longer we are happy to make it work!
